Katsucon is not as crowded as Otakon, except for the areas outside the doors for Artist Alley and Dealers Room. The crowds are typically more calm than Otakon as well, which is why my brother prefers it. I usually stay at a hotel across the bridge to save money, since they have free parking and breakfast, and I can take an Uber over.
