The US military says its aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer evaded the Iranian missile attacks, with no American personnel reported injured. In response, US forces struck three Iranian crude oil tankers in the Gulf region, according to US Central Command.
The US says two tankers were disabled and a third was destroyed, describing the vessels as part of a network allegedly linked to financing Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and regional armed groups. The strikes took place near key Iranian oil-export areas, including Kharg Island and the Gulf of Oman.
