Oceania is the collective name for the islands found throughout most of the Pacific Ocean. It traditionally is divided into four parts: Australasia (Australia and New Zealand), Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Exact definitions of Oceania can differ, but, in its most restricted meaning, it includes more than 10,000 islands.
